Nippon Deuce

From the non-standard more or less orthographic ebay description:

RARE HANDPAINTED NIPPON PLATE AND MATCHING HUMIDOR LID

ANTIQUE!

This is a wonderful, very old handpainted Nippon plate that was given to my grandmother by her father (we don't know where it came from before that). It is not dated, but we know it is at least from the early 1900's. The Nippon stamp is on the back of the plate. It has three poker chips, a die, and a 2 of clubs painted and lacquered onto the plate. The brown surface of the plate and the lid are matte, but the painted figures are shiny. There is an imperfection to the right of the card where the painter must have dropped some extra lacquer. It has slight wear around the edges due to its age. It came with a matching humidor, but the humidor was broken and only the lid was saved. The lid has an old-fashioned pipe molded and painted on it, and it will be included with the plate.
