It's getting to be nearly 3 p.m. & I'm still a long ways (in bike miles) from Tucson. And have I mentioned yet that my rented hotshot shredder Mongoose is malfunctioning? Figures. The shifter won't move the chain to the third sprocket. This means the highest gear I can use is 16; gears 17 through 24 are inop, forcing me to pump much harder than necessary. |
