At the Original Pancake House they tried to boot us for not having Fabio with us. We didn't fault them for not having Les Highet and Erma Hueneke around. But we placated them by taking Fabio's order via cellphone.
Wagner can't always hold his batter.

"OUR SECRET"
BUTTERMILK PANCAKE RECIPE

1 Quart Churn type Buttermilk
1 ounce Soda
(Mix)
Add 2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Sift 1 pound hard wheat flour with
Add 1/4 Cup Salad Oil
1 ounce Baking Powder
Stir in Buttermilk and Soda. Add 1 yeast cake (dry or moist).
Whip 10 eggs to a light froth (10-20 minutes on electric mixer). Fold in. Set in refrigerator overnight.
In the morning add 1 Cup Heavy Cream. Stir.
Bake.
Will keep a week or more in refrigerator.
