Airline pilots, who use Gammage as a landmark, call it The Giant Toilet Bowl, because that's what it looks like from the air. There's a square part connected that looks like a toilet tank, see. (Next to Gammage--not in the photo--is the ASU Music Building, which looks like a giant birthday cake. Oh boy--there's a theme waiting for development.)
