Here's the unbelievably stoopid reason this airport sign's vertical bars are painted:

Some buttweed ex-con with a history of filing frivilous lawsuits threatened to sue the city of Phoenix because he claimed its airport's decor--in reality, modeled after a popular tribal design--was in fact a secret conspiratorial signal to racists, being, he claimed, a representation of the letters "KKK."

The sorry state of the legal system is shown by the fact that the city actually settled with this numbskull rather than defend themselves against his lawsuit, which, these days, probably had a decent chance of success.








But how did the paint job make it look any less like KKK?
